The Founding Moment

Every morning, the same fifteen minutes. Students were instructed to read. Some would start, then trail off. One morning, instead of asking a student to pick up his book, Donald asked a different question: "What do you like to read?"

That student was in Grade 5. His answer became a book. When he finished it, his mother picked it up and read it herself. The following day she came back to school and personally thanked Donald.

That was the moment.
